My name is Maureen Fleury and I live in Coquitlam British Columbia, Canada which is located in the Greater Vancouver Regional District. I've been a freelance writer for Suite101 since March 1999 where I've worked in various editorial and managerial capacities along the way. I now provide my services on the Help Desk at Suite101. I am the Feature Writer for the Natural Disasters topic at Suite101 and I spend endless hours researching and relating the tragedies that happen in our world. Besides writing, I like to watch HGTV, Food Network and TLC and Discovery Channel. I rarely watch the "normal" network shows except for House. My past favorite shows are Six Feet Under, Home Improvement, Rhoda, Mary Tyler Moore, Northern Exposure, Frasier and Soap. I'm a collector of DVDs and have all the seasons available for these shows. I own several aquariums and have taken it a step further by breeding Moscow Blue guppies. My first batch of fry are not adults yet but I'm sure I will be over-run with guppies in a few months from now. To me, life is constant learning. If I don't learn something new every day, then I feel I haven't had a fulfilling day. "Just a little fly on the windshield of life"
